The Friends of Downhorn Park voluntary community association was formally established in its current form following adoption of the Constitution on 29 November 2021. We are working together with the Community and Age Concern centres which are adjacent to the field and with the Mewstone Primary Care Network (local GP surgeries) and other stakeholders to mobilise community support and involvement in this project. We are licensed by Plymouth City Council to carry out ground works to create a Community Garden and other environmental improvements, and to use the land for a variety of community events.
