As part of the Primary Care Network initiative to highlight the presence of the community orchard and to increase community involvement in the Community Garden project, they are funding an apple pressing day on Friday 29 October. This should be a fun activity for families in the schools half term. We hope that families will come along and explore your local orchard. If you have apples from your garden (good windfalls are OK), you can bring them along and help to turn them into juice. Bring a cup and—if you’d like to take some juice home —bring a clean bottle (not a milk container). This will be run by All About Apples following best practice for COVID safety. Everyone is welcome come along and explore the site and talk to us about our plans and your views.
This will be held from 13.00 to 16.00 in the lower field behind the Community Centre (see access map in Gallery). If wet, there will be a marquee in front of the Age Concern car park.
